Welcome to The Book Wizard's new blog! I hope you find the information here helpful. You can find some links to websites that are useful to students and teachers. You will also find the lists for the new Bluebonnet Books and the Texas 2X2 Reading List which is geared toward the lower grades. I plan to have a Texas 2X2 team next year similar to our Bluebonnet Team so that our younger students may participate in the reading of award quality books and the voting process.

I thought I would begin by giving you my views of a book I just read: "Who Could That Be at This Hour?" by Lemony Snicket. If you are a fan of Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, then you will enjoy this book. The main character is Lemony Snicket himself at the age of 13. Children, of course, will find it humorous, a word which here means funny, that a 13 year-old boy and his peers seem to outwit the adults in the story as they attempt to solve the mystery surrounding the Bombinating Beast. The mystery is engaging and will keep you turning the pages.

The Ogg Library happens to have an autographed copy which will go on display along side a picture of me and the author (or his representative, or...Hmmm).

The Book Wizard
